Mr. D.T. Jackson is a Georgia native, born and raised in Atlanta. He attended B. T. Washington High School and Morehouse College. Mr. Jackson served in the Marine Corp and in Vietnam. He is widowed with 3 children. One of his children graduated from Douglas County High and currently serves in the U. S. Air Force. His oldest child currently works in China, teaching English. His youngest child is a graduate of New Manchester High.
He is the current President of Hunters Ridge Homeowners Association and is a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church, where he serves as an usher and a member of the Men's Fraternity.
Mr. Jackson currently works for an International Company as a Senior Recovery Agent. He has over 40 years of experience in the financial recovery industry, with 32 years of management experience managing up to 80 employees, including the responsibility of a monthly inventory of over 80 million dollars.
Mr. Jackson was elected Board of Education Chair in January 2015 and 2016. Mr. Jackson is in his third term which began January 1, 2019 and ends December 31, 2022.
