The Douglas County School System Technology Department's mission is to enhance the learning environment through the infusion of technology into the instructional process. We want to provide access to technology tools that will impact learning for all students and assist teachers in providing instruction.

The Douglas County School System believes that the use of technology assists students in realizing their learning potential. For the student, technology is a tool that can positively impact their learning. In an effort to provide the best support possible, the school system has adopted standards on the hardware used by teachers, students and staff. The school system has built its own fiber optic network to provide high speed Internet to all facilities, provide the backbone for the system's telephone system and provide access to centralized applications.

The technology department currently supports 28,800+ users including students, teachers, administration and support staff; approximately 32,000 computers and Chromebooks; 3,300+ email accounts; 2,000+ printers; 2,200 voicemail accounts; 1,800 phones; a system owned fiber network to connect all sites; hundreds of software applications and 39 sites.
