Beatrice and Savannah earned a spot in the Gold Category, placing them in the top 6 projects among all elementary schools in the entire county—what an incredible accomplishment! 🏆 They did a fantastic job presenting their project to the judges, and we are so proud of their hard work and dedication.
📦 Reminder: If your student's science fair project is still on the balcony, it will be sent home today.
👏 Great job to all of our students who participated in the Science Fair—you did an amazing job, and we are so proud of each of you! 💙

Students explored where pollution comes from, how it impacts our environment, and what we can do to help. During this hands-on lesson, they “polluted” a model pond using materials like paper scraps, plastic, styrofoam, coffee grounds (to represent runoff), and cocoa powder (to represent waste like sewage).
Before jumping in, students made predictions about which tools would work best to clean the water and whether it could be fully restored. As they worked to clean the pond, they quickly discovered just how challenging it is to remove pollution—especially certain types that require specialized tools.
This powerful activity helped students see firsthand why it’s so important to prevent pollution in the first place. Great thinking and teamwork, Mrs. Ochoa's class! 👏🌱

Kindness Matters Monday! 💙
Today we are celebrating a student who showed that even small actions can make a big difference. When a classmate accidentally dropped all of his supplies, Dieara immediately stepped in to help pick everything up without hesitation.
Her willingness to help a peer is a wonderful example of the kindness we love to see in our Wolf Cub community. 🐺
She was nominated by Mrs. Johnson for showing such a thoughtful act of kindness. Way to go, Dieara! 👏

Not only did the University of West Georgia athletic department send some awesome readers to our school for Read Across America Week, they’ve also opened up a wonderful opportunity for our Wolf Cubs! They have invited everyone to their Spring game for free!🐺📚
We know it’s the tail end of Spring Break, but we hope some of you can take advantage of this chance to enjoy a fun family day at UWG.
Thank you to UWG for supporting our students and helping us celebrate the joy of reading! ❤️📖

They created homemade lava lamps, observing how oil and colored water separate before adding fizzy tablets to create bubbling reactions that sent colorful swirls floating through their bottles. 🌈🫧
This hands-on activity helped students explore density, chemical reactions, and how liquids interact—all while having a lot of fun with science! 🔬🚀

We’ll be sharing a big recap at the end of the week to highlight all the wonderful moments, but today we want to give a very special shoutout to our anonymous donors who saw our post about contributing to Share the Fair.
Because of your generosity, several of our students who may not have been able to shop the Book Fair were able to pick out some amazing books to take home. Your kindness truly made the day for some very special Wolf Cubs.
Thank you for helping us spread the joy of reading! 📚💙

Jazlyn saw a piece of cornbread on the hallway floor. Instead of walking around it, she picked it up and threw it in the trash, helping keep our school clean and safe for everyone.
She was nominated by Mrs. Slatton for showing responsibility and kindness.
Way to go Jazlyn.

‘Twas the Friday before Read Across America Week,
And excitement was building - you could hear it when we speak!
The Book Fair is set with stories to share,
Colorful covers and new worlds everywhere.
Our dress-up days are planned - including Spirit Day fun,
And guest readers are ready to share books with everyone.
Snacks are prepared, schedules are tight,
We’re counting the hours with pure delight!
We can’t wait to show our Wolf Cubs next week
That a whole community believes reading is something special to seek -
A lot is happening on each and every day, so don't be late
Because becoming a lifelong reader is truly something to celebrate! 🐺📚
