🎉 Our kindergarteners had a fantastic fiesta in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month! 🎶 Thanks to our amazing families and teachers who donated delicious food, students enjoyed a feast together before dancing through the hallways to lively Latin beats with their teachers, teacher assistants, principal, and assistant principal. ❤️ It was a joyful celebration of Latin culture and community! 🌎✨

🎉 Our first graders are diving into Hispanic Heritage Month through their reading curriculum with Mice and Beans! After learning about traditions, they got to experience a birthday celebration complete with a piñata. 🪅

It only took three students to break it open, but the sweetest moment came after — students noticed that some friends had less candy and chose to share their treats with one another. 💕 Such excitement, kindness, and community!

🎨✨ Dot Day fun is in full swing at MAES—and we’re celebrating ALL week long! Inspired by Peter H. Reynolds’ The Dot, which students previewed in the Media Center, we’re highlighting creativity, confidence, and the joy of making our mark. 🖌️

📸 Heads up! Picture Retake Day is Monday, October 6.

If your child missed the original day or you’d like to return the entire packet for a retake, a new packet will be issued after picture day.

👉 Please note: Students must either return their original packet on that day or Mrs. Walton must have their original photography slip not used on the original photography day in order for retakes to be done.

🧪🔬 Our 3rd graders are turning into scientists in STEM this week! They’re putting the scientific method to the test with an experiment to see which paper towel is the strongest. The results? Some of the off-brands really surprised us! 👀 Just goes to show—you can’t always judge a paper towel by its brand. 💡👏

🚒👮‍♂️ Our Kindergarteners had a fantastic week celebrating Community Helpers! They listened to our amazing School Resource Officer, Officer Jackson, read a story and even got to explore his patrol car. They also met some of our awesome local firefighters and climbed aboard their fire truck!
