As the first full week of school ended, Dorsett Shoals Elementary School recognized its dedicated educators by showing their appreciation. Inspired by the Olympic spirit, the school administration created a celebration that filled staff and students with pride. As part of the celebration, the Dorsett Shoals administration awarded each teacher a gold medal and presented them with written compliments.
"If teaching were an Olympic sport, our staff would be gold medal winners!" exclaimed Principal Kelly Brown. "Showing our appreciation to our staff is something we do every day, but the Olympic theme allowed us to do something extra special."
During the Olympic celebration, students cheered on their teachers, who had fun reading their compliments. In addition to each receiving a gold medal, teachers also received special "gold" themed snacks.
The celebration reflected the school's commitment to recognizing its exemplary educators. "Our teachers and our students are both champions," said Principal Brown. "We hope that this Olympic celebration sets the stage for a successful year ahead."
