Sweetwater Elementary School welcomed 200 members of the Knight family for the Royal Open House and the first Parent Advisory Council (PAC) meeting of the school year on August 29.
During the PAC meeting, the school engaged families in meaningful discussions about performance data, the Title I budget and plan, and engagement initiatives.
Following the meeting, families participated in sessions led by Sweetwater’s dedicated teachers, where they learned about expectations for the school year and how to effectively partner with educators to support their children’s learning.
Principal Tanish Springer, dressed in regal attire for the occasion, said she was thrilled at the participation, which was a “testament to our community’s commitment to education.”
“Sharing our goal for participation with families was an emotional moment for me; seeing our media center filled to capacity brought a sense of joy and pride that I will not soon forget,” Springer said. “It truly feels amazing to be a Knight, and I am eagerly looking forward to a fantastic year ahead!”
