Chapel Hill’s golf teams aim to build on their progress during the 2025 season.
The girls' team is led by Coach Steve Boyd, while the boys' team is guided by coaches Brad Stephens and Jeremy Elliott.
“Hopefully, what we’re really trying to do here at Chapel Hill — we just want to be better than we were last year,” Boyd said during the recent Spring Sports Media Day. “Always trying to improve, strive, and get better.”
During Media Day, coaches spotlighted Samuel Hampton, Lucas Elliott, and Kahmya Alexander as key players for the season.
Hampton, a senior who began playing as a sophomore, said his primary goal is to keep improving his game.
Elliott, a sophomore who has worked his way up to one of the top two spots on the boys' team, said he hopes to maintain his position this year.
