DCHS Bi-Literacy students

Douglas County High School recently honored 31 exceptional students who received the 2025 A DCHS studentInternational Skills Diploma Seal (ISDS) during a special potluck celebration.

These globally-minded scholars demonstrated a four-year commitment to world languages, community service, and cultural engagement.

During the celebration, two students received special recognition. Kaylin Wu was named the 2025 State ISDS Star, while Amanda Ubera-Corona earned the distinction of Seal of Biliteracy Star.

Both students will be honored at the state-level celebration later this year.

Both Kaylin and Amanda earned double Seals of Biliteracy as juniors—Kaylin in Chinese andA DCHS student French, and Amanda in Spanish and French—demonstrating their advanced proficiency and deep appreciation for language and culture.

This distinction demonstrates that graduates possess the international awareness, language skills, and cultural understanding necessary to succeed in today's global workforce.
