TMS Chess Champions

Turner Middle School has successfully defended its title as the Douglas County School System'sMCMS Chess Members chess champions for the second consecutive year. The annual tournament, held this month at Turner, brought together young chess fans from across Douglas County.

Turner and Mason Creek Middle School initially tied for first place in the Middle School Division, each accumulating 13.5 points. Following a tiebreaker round, Turner emerged as the champion while Mason Creek earned second place.

Following intense competition, Alejandro Loaiza of Turner Middle School was crowned the Middle School Grand Champion. Congratulations to all the players for their dedication to the game and strategic thinking throughout the competition!
