Mirror Lake Elementary teacher Lindsey Lennert ran a hands-on bubble lab with her students recently to explore the factors that influence bubble size.
A soap-and-water solution and a straw were used to experiment with different variables — how hard they blew, how much solution they used, and how the solution was spread — to figure out what conditions created the largest bubbles.
According to Lennert, this allowed the students to practice making observations, identifying variables, and drawing conclusions based on evidence.
