The HAVEN Academy recently hosted a Touch-a-Truck event for students at Mason Creek 
Elementary and Mason Creek Middle School.
For a day filled with fun and exploration, “students were on their best behavior, asking thought-provoking questions,” said Assistant Principal Timothy Jenkins. Students explored firetrucks first-hand, discovered various equipment, climbed ladders, and spent time with their favorite firefighter heroes.
“Thank you to the Douglas County Fire Department for coming to the school and sharing so many interesting facts about what it's like to be a firefighter,” said Jenkins.
