Alexander High School won the County Volleyball Championship on Saturday at Legacy Arena, and Douglas County High School finished as the county runner-up.
Alexander head volleyball coach Ben Robinson said his team played its worst volleyball of the season earlier in the week against Central, and he challenged his team to “flush it and move on.”
“I challenged them to go into the arena on Saturday and to show everyone else what we already believe,” he said. “They did just that, and I am extremely proud of their hard work and commitment to Alexander Volleyball.”
Alexander senior middle Abigail Padgett was named the Tournament MVP. Senior setter Kayden Carmack and freshman defensive specialist Emma Toups were also named to the All-Tournament Team.
In junior varsity action, Chapel Hill won the county title, while Alexander finished as county runner-up.
