CCI Principal Bakahai Litman and staff with their recertification certificate.

The Douglas County College and Career Institute (CCI) has officially earned recertification through 2030, reaffirming its commitment to student achievement and workforce development.

The CCI administrative team received the official recertification certificate on Oct. 20, during the 2025 Governor’s Workforce Summit in Atlanta. The event celebrated continued progress in preparing students for success in both college and career pathways.

"Receiving the recertification is an honor that reflects our dedication to student success," CCI Principal Bakahai Litman said. "This meaningful achievement recognizes our shared commitment to prepare students for the three E’s: Enrollment, Enlistment, and Employment."

Georgia College and Career Academy (GCCA) certification recognizes academies that demonstrate excellence in increasing student achievement, providing dual enrollment opportunities, addressing workforce needs, and fostering collaboration among business, industry, and community partners.
