Sweetwater Elementary School fifth-grade art students took their learning outside of the classroom
with an art elements and principles scavenger hunt around the campus.
Students explored hallways, classrooms, and shared spaces to discover real-world examples of line, shape, color, texture, balance, contrast and more. This activity encouraged the young artists to think critically, observe closely and connect classroom concepts to their everyday environment.
Media specialist Yashica Green noted,” It was inspiring to see their excitement as they realized that art isn’t just something we create—it’s all around us!”
