A record crowd celebrated Douglas County students Dec. 4 at the Winter Wonderland Student Exhibition opening reception that included visits with Santa and much more. The show runs through Dec. 18 at the Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County.

Four DCSS students earned top honors:

K-2: Skylen Quarles, Winston Elementary, "Cardinals"

3-5: Zoey Sanchez, Dorsett Shoals Elementary, "Penguin Fun"

6-8: Daniela Garcia, Turner Middle School, "A Foxes Dream"

9-12: Kirsten Jolly, New Manchester High School, "Christmas Ingredients"

The exhibition showcases exceptional artwork from students across the district. The Nichols Center sponsored the reception and donated food to local families.
