One hundred students at Dorsett Shoals Elementary School recently celebrated their achievements with a special field trip to Chuck E. Cheese.
The high achieving students earned the outing by reaching their end-of-year iReady Stretch Growth goals before the school year was even halfway over. In doing so, each student made more than a full year's worth of academic progress within a single school year and demonstrated exceptional learning gains.
Principal Kelly Brown called reaching this goal a remarkable achievement: "Each one of these students demonstrated consistency, perseverance, and a commitment to learning, and I couldn't be more proud of their accomplishments."
The reward field trip was made possible through a partnership with a local business. It reflected the school's commitment to excellence and treated students to an afternoon filled with fun, games, and smiles with friends.
