Carsen Nelson, Alexander's Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) advisor, said the students spent months preparing projects that highlight leadership, career skills and community service.

Award winners include:
Chloe Weaver — Early Childhood Education — First Place
Ana Crawford — Say YES to FCS — First Place
Joselyn Melchor & Lola Pacheco — Promote and Publicize FCCLA — First Place
Lindsey Walls & Camryn Stewart — Event Management — First Place
Destiny Perkins — Teaching Strategies — Second Place
Baleigh Moore — Interior Design — First Place

“We are so proud of their hard work and dedication,” Nelson said, adding that she looks forward to cheering her students on at the State Leadership Competition in Columbus later this month.
