Alexander's top boys soccer players pose for a group photo.

Alexander boys' soccer coach Jose Cuellar said his Cougars are looking to return to the postseason again in 2026.

Alexander graduated 10 seniors last year, but Cuellar said he has a good group of players on this year's team, led by senior co-captains Landon Waits (defensive midfielder), Drew Thomas (attacking midfielder) and Anthony Montalvo (center back).

Cuellar also spotlighted seniors Giesy Hernandez, Osbaldo Castro and Michael Chabbough, and juniors Nicolas Caceres, Kason Robinson and Eli Rundles (last year's leading scorer).

He added that several sophomores and freshmen also made the varsity team, making the future look promising.

"What inspires me the most about this group of players is their work ethic," he said. "Every activity and drill is performed at maximum effort, which will translate into success during our matches in their individual, small groups and team battles."
