Alexander High School's boys basketball team made history in March, winning its second state championship in four years with an 81-67 victory over Woodward Academy in the Class AAAAA title game in Macon.

The Cougars got their state championship rings Sunday during a special ceremony at Blue Agave Mexican Restaurant.

"It was great to see our guys get recognized once again for the remarkable accomplishments from last season," AHS head coach Jason Slate said. "The looks on their faces when they saw their ring for the first time were priceless!"

Alexander won its last 25 straight games during the championship run and finished with 30 wins, a program record. The Cougars also finished ranked No. 1 in Class AAAAA by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and MaxPreps.
