Mason Creek Elementary students dressed as heroes from the American Revolution with a headline: "Bringing the American Revolution to Life."

Mason Creek Elementary students in Kristy Meyers' fourth-grade history class showed off their knowledge of a pivotal time in the history of our country recently with historical figure presentations from the American Revolution. The young historians put their creativity to work as they incorporated costumes, puppets, pictures and more into their presentations. King George, George Washington, Patrick Henry, Paul Revere and many more key players from the time period were represented.

“The creativity was off the charts, and so was their knowledge of this important era,” said media specialist Katie Henry as she expressed her pride in the students.

"It was incredible to watch our students step into the shoes of Revolutionary-era figures. They didn't just memorize facts. They explored history through their own creativity and truly made it their own," Meyers added.
