Chapel Hill’s boys soccer team is looking to make a fourth-straight trip to the state playoffs.

The Panthers are coming off a 13-3 season last year and have gone to the state playoffs three years in a row.

Coach Matt Leach said his Panthers are also the defending Douglas County Champions after defeating the other county high schools in the Douglas County Derby in 2023.

Senior striker Kenny Pameni and senior defender Habib Senghore are team captains this year. Pameni has eight goals to lead the team in the early going.

Other key players include midfielders Gonzalo Hurtado, Daniel Kossilov and Ariel Martinez and goalkeeper Peter Martinez, according to Leach.

The Panthers have won four of their first seven games in 2024 so far and tied cross-town rival Alexander 1-1 on Feb. 16.
