🏈 The Lithia Springs Lions Are Headed to the State Semifinals! 🏆 In a thrilling rain-soaked quarterfinals matchup tonight, the Lions defeated Blessed Trinity 20-14! Jayden Graham’s clutch interception as time expired sealed the victory, sending Lithia Springs to the state flag football semifinals. DaySpring Road Race to Benefit FSES: The DaySpring Road Race will take place Saturday, Nov. 16, with the 5K starting at 3 p.m. and the Fun Run beginning at 4 p.m. Proceeds from this year's DaySpring Road Race will benefit Factory Shoals Elementary School. Board of Education District 4 Representative Michelle Simmons is hosting a Community Meeting on School Safety with DCSS Interim Chief of Police Walter Williams on Saturday, Nov. 2 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Douglas County High School. 🏈 Big News for Douglas County High School! 🏈 Douglas County High teammates Aaron Gregory and Jordan Carter play different positions, but on Sunday they had a lot in common. The two highly-recruited players ended their recruitment in College Station, Texas when they verbally committed to play their college football for the Texas A&M Aggies. The 6-foot-3 Gregory plays wide receiver for the No. 4 Tigers, while Carter is a strongside defensive end. Gregory was also considering LSU, Tennessee and Ohio State, while Carter was looking at Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee. Join us in wishing Aaron and Jordan the best as they take their talent from Douglas County to Texas A&M! #DCSSproud
