In partnership with Microsoft, the Douglas County Education Foundation (DCEF) received a grant to support their Classroom Impact Grant initiative designed to give assistance to the Douglas County School System.
DCEF offers annual Classroom Impact Grants to Douglas County School System teachers, media specialists, counselors, principals, and assistant principals.
Classroom Impact Grants promote creative and innovative ideas in and out of the classroom that directly impact student learning.
“Over $371,000 has been awarded in Classroom Impact Grants over the last 20 years, serving thousands of students at all grade levels throughout the school system. Our newly established partnership with Microsoft allows us to expand our capacity and continue to support the heroes of the Douglas County School System…our educators”, says Angelia O’Neal, Executive Director for the Douglas County Education Foundation.

For the 2023-24 academic year, DCEF awarded nearly 50 teachers throughout the school system with a Classroom Impact Grant. The Classroom Impact Grants criteria is structured for teachers, media specialists, counselors, principals, and assistant principals in all Douglas County School System schools, including HAVEN Academy, LEAP, College and Career Institute, and the Success Center to apply for the competitively-awarded grants.
